He attended Syracuse University as an undergraduate and then went on to New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He did his residency at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn NY and at SUNY at Buffalo where he became Board Certified in Family Medicine.

General Physician, PC urogynecologist Dr. Armen Kirakosyan was interviewed on WGRZ Channel 2's WNY Living program on October 19. Dr. Kirkosyan offered viewers some insights into the medical subspecialty of Urogynecology and the medical advancves that have been made in treating pelvic floor disorders. On October 21, the primary care office of Dr. James Panzarella is relocating from 1208 Niagara Falls Blvd. in Tonawanda, to 3980A Sheridan Drive in Amherst. The pending move was reported on by Buffalo Business First.

Local Certified Diabetes Educator and Registered Dietitian, Kelly Cardamone, confirms that both diabetes and prediabetes are major problems in the U.S. and across the globe. A study published in the Journal of the Amerian Medical Association revealed that nearly 50 percent of adults living in the U.S. have diabetes or prediabetes (a condition marked by higher than normal blood glucose levels that are not yet high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes).

The new leader of the Medical Society of the State of New York grew up in a family of pharmacists in Buffalo. His grandfather and father owned pharmacies on the West Side. His mother, a sister and a couple of cousins worked in the profession, too.
