Local Certified Diabetes Educator and Registered Dietitian, Kelly Cardamone, confirms that both diabetes and prediabetes are major problems in the U.S. and across the globe. A study published in the Journal of the Amerian Medical Association revealed that nearly 50 percent of adults living in the U.S. have diabetes or prediabetes (a condition marked by higher than normal blood glucose levels that are not yet high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes).
